Who is the day for?
The workshop is appropriate for beginners and those wanting to develop their existing skills. Whether you want to make your own unique Xmas gifts, or develop your wood carving techniques, this workshop will give you practical insight into the world of spoon carving! Minimum age is 14 years, however under 18’s will need to be accompanied by an adult.

What will we be doing?
The day is designed to be a step by step guide on how to harvest and create your own design from branch to spoon. Over the day you will:

  • Develop an understanding of the process of Spoon carving – from branch to spoon.
  • Gain an understanding of the different types of carving tools and their uses.
  • Develop understanding of the properties of wood as a material.
  • Carve your own spoon to take away.
