Description:
A fascinating 1 day course designed for all teachers and teaching assistants wishing to develop outdoor learning opportunities and build their confidence in using the outdoors.

The course would also be very relevant to Forest School Practitioners wanting to develop their skills.

During the day the delegates will, through hands of participatory activities:

  • Gain knowledge and build confidence in basic tree species identification and taxonomic grouping.
  • Understanding how identification knowledge can support children’s learning.
  • Build knowledge and skills that support the safe use of the outdoors as a learning resource.

The day will be infused with inspiring ideas, folklore, stories and experiences, all linked to the curriculum and fully adaptable to the needs of different learners.
